What triggers the color change in these swim shorts?
These shorts are responsive to temperature changes. They need both warm and cool conditions to initiate a color switch. While you wear them, body heat and sunlight warm the trunks. They will color change once they cool down, which is usually facilitated by the water’s temperature.
Will the color change feature weaken over time?
This depends on the frequency of use. Prolonged exposure to intense UV light (such as direct sunlight) may gradually reduce the ability to change colors. Over an extended period, the swim shorts might entirely cease to alter colors. The timeline for this varies as it depends on usage and levels of UV exposure, but we anticipate that their color-changing capability lasts for at least one season with regular wear.
Nevertheless, even if the color change stop functioning, your swim trunks will still be very comfortable. In such cases, they will manifest a solid color that is a shade darker than the warmest tint they previously showcased.
