Originally designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958, the PH 5 is a timeless classic in Danish design.
Regardless of whether it hangs high in the room or low over a table, it will never dazzle - regardless of the chosen light source. The luminaire is so ubiquitous in its country of origin that it feels like it is in every household - although the original white version has long since been supplemented by various colored versions. Incidentally, the PH 5 owes its name to the largest shade segment, which measures an impressive 50 centimetres in diameter. The PH 5 directs most of the light emitted downwards; however, the trumpet-shaped upper segment also emits some of the light to the sides, providing additional indirect lighting for the surroundings.
