How to Choose?
METHOD 1: Utilize different formaldehyde levels for varying types of curly hair.
For lightly curly hair (0% Formaldehyde-free)
For moderately curly hair (5% Formaldehyde)
For densely curly hair (8% Formaldehyde)
For extremely curly hair (12% Formaldehyde)
METHOD 2: Tailor the formaldehyde keratin level according to your location.
If you reside in the Middle East, opt for keratin with 5% or 8% formaldehyde
If you are in South America, choose keratin with 5% or 8% formaldehyde
If you live in Africa, pick keratin with 8% or 12% formaldehyde
How to Use?
1. Wash your hair twice with PURC Purifying Shampoo designed for chemically-treated hair, and three times for virgin hair. Dry your hair thoroughly with a blow dryer.
2. Evenly distribute the treatment through each section of hair. Shake the bottle well and pour 2-3 ounces of keratin treatment into a bowl. Wear gloves and apply the solution to your hair using a brush.
3. Cover your hair with a cap. If your hair is chemically treated or damaged, let it sit for 20 minutes; for very thick and resistant hair, it should remain for 30 minutes. Then blow-dry your hair completely.
4. Section your hair into 4 parts with a heat-resistant comb. Using a flat iron set to 450°F (230°C), start at the nape and take 1/8 inch sections one at a time. Slowly glide the iron from roots to tips 5-7 times (7-10 for very curly, thick hair) to infuse the keratin into your hair strands. For chemically treated or damaged hair, lower the temperature to 430°F (200°C).
5. After 3 days, wash your hair with PURC After-Treatment Shampoo and Conditioner (or any sodium chloride-free shampoo).
WARNING:
Keep windows and doors open during treatment and use a fan.
Do not let the liquid contact your eyes; if it does, rinse immediately with warm water.
